I heart Fall! The leaves, costumes, apples, pumpkins, cool breezes, and family gatherings are among the many reasons I heart this time of year.

A New Blog Begins.
I have been itching to create a blog for quite some time now. As I grow in the Lord and as a wife and mother, I feel I learn so much every day. I want a little place to record what I learn and how I grow so that I wont forget what the Lord is teaching me.
I have a real problem with keep a journal in general. To me, it seems like your thoughts should be your thoughts and writing it down on paper is an invasion of those thoughts. Therefore, I have never been able to write out my thoughts in that way. Rather... I want to keep this online journal as a record of what the Lord is teaching me.
First of all, I had a hard time deciding what to call my little corner of the world wide web. There are so many blogs out there! So, I decided on "A Bird and her Brood". First of all, birds fascinate me. Our Father takes care of them daily and they seems to live without complaint. They aren't searching for the latest technology. They aren't building newer and better nests out of discontentment as we tend to do with our homes. Birds are so small and yet... they seem to take no thought for the morrow. They live as they are intended by the Creator to live.
I would do well to take a few lessons from the birds.
Also... a 'brood' represents all that the Lord has given me to oversee. First, my husband, then my children and in that order.
That is all I have for the first post. I hope to continue to grow in this blog writing adventure and take more time to create more interesting posts. Either way... here we are: A Bird and her Brood!
